Leslie was born in Guatemala and has lived in Seattle, Wa ever since she was seven years old. She is currently living in north Renton, 13 miles east of Seattle with her husband and four kids. Leslie draws inspiration from design and the beautiful city she grew up in. Her painting journey started shortly after giving birth to her second son while refurbishing furniture. Her love for the movement of the brush quickly transitioned into playing with gestural strokes and colors on paper and canvas.

Leslie’s approach is gentle and intuitive. Painting is a healing process for her as well as a sacred time to listen and encounter truth and hope. She usually likes to be loud and bold with her colors, and dreams of people being unafraid to bring bright colors and play back into home design. She hopes the viewer is moved by her paintings in such a way that it brings them outrageous courage to never stop seeking.

Leslie published her first book Inexhaustible - Art and Poetry on November 2021. Three years later, she decided to work on her second book. Undone will release on Amazon December 14, 2024
